Chair of Governors: Stacy Sharman
I currently work for Stoke On Trent Council, working alongside communities and partners. I enjoy cooking and spending time with my family. I have a daughter in Key Stage 1. I am a governor as I want to help the academy to be the best it can be and for all children to achieve to the best of their ability and succeed throughout their time at Packmoor

I have been the Principal at Packmoor Ormiston Academy since 2016, prior to that I was a headteacher at another local school in Stoke on Trent. I have worked in Education for over twenty years, predominantly in Stoke, Staffordshire and Cheshire.
Governor: Ian Macbeth
Career: Teacher, Headteacher and then Advisor with Stoke LA. Now retired. Previously I have had a grandson in school and feel the school has great potential to be outstanding. Now I spend most of my time supporting schools, playing golf, walking, biking and watching Port Vale!!
Parent Governor: Mr Pietro Leese
I have been teaching science and mathematics for the last 12 years at secondary schools in both Manchester and Stoke-on-Trent. I also have experience of science teaching at KS2 level and firmly believe in trying to ensure that the transition into secondary school is calm and enjoyable for all children. I have two sons, one at Packmoor Ormiston Academy and a baby boy who will hopefully also be attending in the future.
OAT Governor: Mr A Fitzgibbon
I have worked in Stoke-On-Trent for four years and I currently have the great privilege of being Principal at Ormiston Horizon Academy. I really enjoy working with young people and developing their aspirations. I am a sports fanatic with a keen interest in rugby and triathlons. Serving the Packmoor community is something that I am passionate about and determined to do it well.

I have eighteen years’ experience as a Primary teacher, four of which were spent at Packmoor Ormiston Academy. Currently, I work as their independent Clerk to the Governors. In addition to this, I work for Cheshire East Council as a Clerk to the Governors within Children’s Services, coordinating the governing boards of seven different CE schools.
Associate Governor: Mr A Moran
I have been Vice Principal at Packmoor Ormiston Academy since 2016, prior to that I was a deputy head at another local school in Stoke on Trent. I have worked in Education for over twenty years, predominantly in Sheffield and Stoke. I have two sons, one at Ormiston Horizon Academy and one in Key Stage 2 at Packmoor Ormiston Academy.
Associate Governor: Miss M Sherratt
I have been the business manager at Packmoor Ormiston Academy since 2006, just after the new building was opened. Prior to that I worked at local high school in Stoke on Trent and for the Post Office. I have two sons and one of which attended Packmoor.
Mrs G Shaw: Staff Governor
I am a class teacher, science lead and designated teacher for Looked After children at Packmoor. My career spans several years in different year groups and a variety of schools. I am a proud grandmother to two girls and love spending time with them when not in school; reading and socialising with friends.
Mrs J Owen: Staff Governor
I have been a Teaching assistant at Packmoor for fifteen years, and over this time have worked with most year groups from EYFS to UKS2. Prior to working in education, I was office based, having gained experience in accounts, marketing, and logistics. I have one daughter who attended Packmoor who i am super proud of. Outside of school apart from going on holiday, I enjoy doing anything creative, knitting , sewing etc .

The governing body works with the head teacher to provide vision and a strategic framework whilst the head teacher remains the lead professional who is responsible for the operational (day to day) management of the school.
