Chair of Governors: Stacy Sharman
I currently work for Stoke On Trent Council, working alongside communities and partners. I enjoy cooking and spending time with my family. I have a daughter in Key Stage 1. I am a governor as I want to help the academy to be the best it can be and for all children to achieve to the best of their ability and succeed throughout their time at Packmoor.
Vice Chair of Governors: Rod Hughes
I am Principal of Ormiston SWB Academy, having been in SWB since September 2018, prior to which I was Principal at Ormiston Horizon Academy for seven years. I have worked in several secondary schools across Shropshire, Staffordshire and Sandwell. I enjoy spending time with my family. I have two daughters. I think that it is vital that we make the transition from primary to secondary education as smooth as possible.
Staff Governor: Jude Hadfield
I am currently a classroom teacher in year 4 but have taught children from age 4-18 years in the primary and secondary sector. Prior to being a teacher I was a Special Needs Education Associate in a 2000 child secondary school in Sheffield. I have taught in a variety of different authorities from Stoke to Sunderland. My interests are in lifelong education and photography. In my spare time I love to walk my dog.
Parent Governor: Gina Pritchard
I am a certified accountant with twenty plus years of both industry and practice experience. I volunteer in school on Friday mornings and enjoy seeing how the children progress. I have a son in Key Stage 2. As a governor my aim is to support the academy in all areas, bringing my financial expertise to the board.
Principal: Sharon May
I have been the Principal at Packmoor Ormiston Academy since 2016, prior to that I was a headteacher at another local school in Stoke on Trent. I have worked in Education for over twenty years, predominantly in Stoke, Staffordshire and Cheshire.
Governor: Ian Macbeth
Career: Teacher, Headteacher and then Advisor with Stoke LA. Now retired. Previously I have had a grandson in school and feel the school has great potential to be outstanding. Now I spend most of my time supporting schools, playing golf, walking, biking and watching Port Vale!!
Governor: Corinne Williams
I have been PA and HR advisor for 13 years, 7 years at Ormiston Horizon Academy and 6 years at the predecessor school James Brindley.
I enjoy spending time with my family especially my three granddaughters and I like walking in the countryside, with my dog Tess.
It’s essential that we concentrate on ensuring that all the Academies within the Trust are efficient and effective through Human Resources, policy, performance and finance, whilst allowing teaching and learning to be at the epi-centre of all we do.
Clerk of Governors: Mrs K Milne
I have been clerk to the governors at Packmoor Ormiston Academy since September 2017. My substantive role in the academy is Pupil Support Manager, a role I have enjoyed since 2012, however I have been part of the Academy since 2016. Both of my children attended Packmoor in their primary years.
Associate Governor: Mr A Moran
I have been Vice Principal at Packmoor Ormiston Academy since 2016, prior to that I was a deputy head at another local school in Stoke on Trent. I have worked in Education for over twenty years, predominantly in Sheffield and Stoke. I have two sons, one at Ormiston Horizon Academy and one in Key Stage 2 at Packmoor Ormiston Academy.
Associate Governor: Miss M Sherratt
I have been the business manager at Packmoor Ormiston Academy since 2006, just after the new building was opened. Prior to that I worked at local high school in Stoke on Trent and for the Post Office. I have two sons and one of which attended Packmoor.
