Chair of Governors: Stacy Sharman
I currently work for Stoke On Trent Council, working alongside communities and partners. I enjoy cooking and spending time with my family. I have a son in Key Stage 2 and a daughter in Foundation Stage. I am a governor as I want to help the school to be the best it can be and for all children to achieve to the best of their ability and succeed throughout their time at Packmoor.
Vice Chair of Governors: Rod Hughes
I am Principal of Ormiston Horizon Academy, having been in post for the last seven years. I has worked in several secondary schools across Shropshire, Staffordshire and Sandwell. I enjoy spending time with my family. I have two daughters, one in Year 13 and one in Year 7. I think that it is vital that we make the transition from primary to secondary education as smooth as possible.
Staff Governor: Jude Hadfield
I am currently a classroom teacher in year 4 but have taught children from age 4-18 years in the primary and secondary sector. Prior to being a teacher I was a Special Needs Education Associate in a 2000 child secondary school in Sheffield. I have taught in a variety of different authorities from Stoke to Sunderland. My interests are in lifelong education and photography. In my spare time I love to walk my dog.
Parent Governor: Gina Pritchard
I am a certified accountant with twenty plus years of both industry and practice experience. I volunteer in school on Friday mornings and enjoy seeing how the children progress. As a governor my aim is to support the academy in all areas, bringing my financial expertise to the board.
Principal: Sharon May
Governor: Ian Macbeth
Career: Teacher, Headteacher and then Advisor with Stoke LA. Now retired. Previously I have had a grandson in school and feel the school has great potential to be outstanding. Now I spend most of my time supporting schools, playing golf, walking, biking and watching Port Vale!!
Governor: Corinne Williams
I have been PA and HR advisor for 13 years, 7 years at Ormiston Horizon Academy and 6 years at the predecessor school James Brindley.
I enjoy spending time with my family especially my three granddaughters and I like walking in the countryside, with my dog Tess.
It’s essential that we concentrate on ensuring that all the Academies within the Trust are efficient and effective through Human Resources, policy, performance and finance, whilst allowing teaching and learning to be at the epi-centre of all we do.

The governing body works with the head teacher to provide vision and a strategic framework whilst the head teacher remains the lead professional who is responsible for the operational (day to day) management of the school.
